Welcome. I too, know what it is like to rise from the ashes of a body, dream, relationship or perception and to start again - to be Twice Alive.
It is an honor to move with you through the space of this portal just as the Earth moves through the cosmos.
Let’s make an artwork of your life.
Coaching aligned with
Reverence For Life
Aware of the suffering caused by the destruction of life, I am committed to cultivating the insight of interbeing and compassion and learning ways to protect the lives of people, animals, plants, and minerals.
Happiness
Aware of the suffering caused by exploitation, social injustice, stealing, and oppression, I am committed to practicing generosity in my thinking, speaking, and acting.
Love
Seeing that body and mind are interrelated, I am committed to appropriate ways to care for sexual energy and to cultivate the four basic elements of true love – loving kindness, compassion, joy, and inclusiveness – for the greater happiness of myself and others.
Loving Speech and Deep Listening
Aware of the suffering caused by unmindful speech and the inability to listen to others, I am committed to cultivating loving speech and compassionate listening.
Nourishment and Healing
Aware of the suffering caused by unmindful consumption, I am committed to cultivating good health, both physical and mental, for myself, my loved ones, and my society by practicing mindful eating, drinking, and consuming.
Excerpted from The Five Mindfulness Trainings from Ven. Thích Nhất Hạnh. These trainings have their root in the Five Precepts offered by the Buddha. Rather than hard and fast rules, they offer us a path to cultivate and develop actions of body, speech and mind that can create a more healthy and compassionate world.

Most know me as an artist and writer/poet/philosopher. Some know me as a fourth generation hoodoo practitioner. And some know me as a Buddhist with a particular interest in Zen having taken the 5 mindfulness trainings (lay precepts) and received my Dharma name through Thích Nhất Hạnh’s order at Deer Park Monastery in 2007. However we know each other, it is a pleasure to meet again in a spirit of friendship and fierce love for this planet we call home.
I have a Masters in Religion in Buddhism and Interreligious Engagement from Union Theological Seminary, a Bachelors in Fine Arts from the California College of the Arts and an Associates in Sign Language Interpretation from Portland Community College. I received my Raja Yoga teacher training through the Niroga Institute in 2009. My past experiences as an educator, domestic violence counselor, sex worker, and trauma-informed yoga instructor afford me 20 years of experience holding people during moments of change in diverse environments.

The wildest way to approach artmaking is to be in collaboration with the forces around you - not to seek to control or direct them. Together, we can harness the momentum of the planets, elements, symbols and myths to become wiser, more loving, and more courageous versions of ourselves.
Along with the blessings in your life, I believe it is important to be clear seeing about difficult aspects as they arise as well - including themes of loss, illness, death, violence and betrayal. Rather than grasp for what was or for what isn’t working, I have an instinct to work with the regenerative power tucked inside of loss. While I am not a therapist, I am a Guide, and it will be my profound honor to support you in accessing your own regenerative power in the face of suffering - just as the Earth manages to bloom in harsh climates.
As a tarot reader, I offer a detailed read of the visual symbols in any spread as a unique, spontaneous artwork created by your life and inquiry. For those who are interested, I am happy to move playfully and fluently between astrological symbols and those in the cards - the Universe tells stories in many forms.
As an astrologer, I use Hellenistic techniques to interpret the visual poem of the sky on the day that you were born, but we can talk about all the planets in relationship to your story. I believe that the practice of astrology is about expanding our sense of time - and with it - our sphere of loving attention to all beings.
When offering ritual curriculum for you based on what we’ve learned in a reading, I lean into my expertise as an educator in the arts in both community and university settings. Everything you need to transform is already at hand.
However we are working together, I will hold with great interest and sensitivity the cultural, spiritual and mythological frameworks that have shaped your sense of self as well as the art, literature and music that best express what is happening in your heart.
